Dr. Evelyn Hidalgo joins The Academy at Penguin Hall from Quito, Ecuador with seven years of college counseling and 10 years of school counseling experience.
As an experienced college counselor, she can offer students a wide array of higher education institutions and program options from across the globe. As a Massachusetts certified school counselor, Dr. Hidalgo offers a safe and open space to support students through their high school years with compassion, confidentiality and dignity. She has administered developmentally appropriate wellness classes on topics on conflict-resolution, friendship building, stress, family dynamics, sexuality, among others. Outside of school she enjoys traveling, cooking, good conversations, adventures, making new friends, and learning new things. She’s excited to be returning to New England and enjoying the four seasons!
Dr. Hidalgo has her BS in Psychology from Old Dominion University, and Master of Education in School Counseling from Salem State University, a CAGS in Mental Health Counseling from Rivier University and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University.
