The Academy at Penguin Hall Presents 4th Annual Winter Holiday Concert

WENHAM, Mass. — December 5, 2019 — The Music Department at The Academy at Penguin Hall (APH) today announced the 4th Annual Winter Holiday Concert will be held at Gordon College Chapel on Friday, December 13th at 7 p.m. The chapel is located at 255 Grapevine Road in Wenham, Massachusetts and the event is free to the public.

With what promises to be an evening full of holiday cheer, students from the APH’s Music Department’s APH Chorus, Vocal Jazz Trios, Choreography Dancers, APH Band, Senior Soloists, and the A Cappella group “The Ruby Slippers” will sing, perform and dance to a variety of music throughout the evening.

Hosted by Junior Caitlin Robinson from the APH Student Leadership Council, selections include holiday classics like “Run Run Rudolph,” performed on drums and vocals by APH Senior Juliette Chait. We’ll also present high-energy vocal jazz arrangements  like “Step Into Christmas” and “Let It Snow.”  The evening’s soloists will feature performances by both first years and senior students, and Junior Abby Prince ‘21 will perform both as student accompanist on piano and student conductor.

Penguin Hall Director of Music Taunia Soderquist invites the public, family and friends to come experience this unique holiday showcase and kick-off the holiday season in musical style. “Our students have been rehearsing for several months, and they are very excited to share their hard work with concertgoers,” Soderquist said. “We welcome the entire community to come sing, dance, and ring in the holiday season with us!”
